Regenerative Medicine

Definition

Broadly defined, regenerative medicine is defined as innovative medical therapies that will enable the body to repair, replace, restore and regenerate damaged or diseased cells, tissues and organs. Regenerative medicine includes cell/tissue therapies manufacturing in a personalized medicine context.

It encompasses a variety of research and targeted therapies including cells, gene therapy, tissue engineering, biomaterials engineering, growth factors, and transplantation. These include surgical repair, cell-based vaccines, bionics and other areas important to both civilian and military medicine.

Importantly, regenerative medicine also promises to extend healthy life spans and improve the quality of life by supporting and activating the body’s natural healing.

INCELL Core Capabilities and Hope

INCELL’s strong capabilities in Regenerative Medicine build on the company’s staff who have decades of experience, combined with exceptional CORE PLATFORM Technologies that include cell culture methods, trade secrets, and applications knowledge. With its own capabilities and by partnering with scientists worldwide, INCELL intends to bring those capabilities to Personalized Medicine with applications of normal stem cells and cancer cells to provide new therapies to patients who need them.

Exciting research activities and applications of cell therapies and stem cells will include: repair of damaged heart muscle after a heart attack, replacement of skin for burn victims, restoration of movement after spinal cord injury and regeneration of pancreatic tissue to produce insulin for people with diabetes.
