Company

An innovative life sciences company founded in 1993, INCELL is developing an oral vaccine business utilizing its proprietary platform technology for stimulating mucosal immunity. The company's in-depth understanding of and experience with nanotechnology, bio technology and the mucosal immune system have enabled the development of its oral vaccine technology. We believe that our oral vaccine technology, which delivers the immunogenic vaccine material to the mouth and small intestine, thereby creating both mucosal and systemic immunity, offers competitive advantages over other vaccines. These advantages include efficacy gained from creating mucosal immunities, cost, storage, and stability.
In addition to its developing vaccine business, INCELL develops, markets and sells additional products and services:

Clinical Products
INCELL has new clinical products in the pipeline, primarily in the areas of bioterrorism and defense; cell and passive immunotherapy; antibodies, nutritional therapy and supplement products; bioengineering with cell, gene and tissue-based therapeutics; infectious disease; and pre-clinical testing. Diagnostic devices (e.g., for viruses), vaccine therapies (i.e., an oral smallpox vaccine), immunotherapy test kits, gene therapies against cancer and several other products are in the pipeline. These include convergent technologies for cybersecurity and patient monitoring with novel engineering, nanotechnology and information technology tools.

Services
INCELL provides contract services to other companies. INCELL has very broad-ranging scientific and management expertise that includes: infectious disease, oncology, cell biology, toxicology, microbiology, neurobiology, gene therapy, immunology, virology, diabetes, tissue procurement, transplantation, pharmacology, AIDS research, tissue modeling, wound healing, and cell baking. Capabilities range from fundamental molecular or microbial analyses to cell and animal studies to participation in clinical trials. The majority of service work is client-customized, and INCELL understands deliverables. Product design and management solutions, information technologies capabilities, partnerships in statistical analyses, database use and design, specialty products, expert Consultant Scientists, client-customized contract research and testing protocols, manufacturing capabilities, and contract organizations, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology companies achieve their R&D and product development goals.

Cell culture and research products
INCELL manufactures products for cell culture and research applications. These include specialty reagents for stem cells, media and supplements for culture and cryopreservation of human and animal cells, monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, nucleic acids, proteins, viruses, viral reagents, nutritional supplements, and other research reagents. INCELL has a bank of about 80,000 vials of cryopreserved human cells from normal and diseased tissues for R&D use. INCELL has the only continuous human stem cell lines derived from the small intestine, colon, and blood stem cells. Some of these are already licensed. Others are being patented as tools for pre-clinical testing and possibly for transplantation.
