Mary Pat Moyer, Ph.D

President and Chief Executive Officer, is a
recognized entrepreneur, scientist, and technology business leader.
Dr. Moyer's career spans 34 years of experience in multidisciplinary
scientific research and technology applications. She is an
internationally recognized expert in human cell biotechnology, and
has developed the only human intestinal cell lines that exist in the
world. Her expertise in microbiology and biodefense, vaccines, and
disciplines where life sciences meet information technology and
engineering make her uniquely qualified to manage convergent or
fusion technologies projects and consortia. Over the past ten years
she has founded or co-founded several companies (for profit and
not-for-profit). These include her innovative life sciences company,
INCELL Corporation, where she has orchestrated INCELL's growth in
its 9 clinical pipeline products, and its research products, which
focus on vaccines, cell and gene therapies, pre-clinical testing,
bioassay evaluations and laboratory services. INCELL's research and
development activities have been expanded with management of a
worldwide group of 70 Consultant Scientists and eight small business
research grants awarded through NIH since 1997. She has served as a
Consultant to national and international government agencies (e.g.,
WHO, NIH, NASA, DoD) and to universities and industry.
EDUCATION: B.S. and M.S. degrees in biology (Florida Atlantic
University, Boca Raton); Ph.D. degree in microbiology (1981) from
The University of Texas at Austin.
James V. Janowiak
Treasurer and Vice President for Finance and Administration, is a
Certified Public Accountant with a master's degree in accounting.
His wide range of accounting and auditing experience in different
types and sizes of businesses, as well as consulting, has made him
uniquely qualified for the demands of an emerging company. He
received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of
California at Berkeley in 1977 and a master's degree in accounting
from the University of Texas at Austin in 1985, where he was awarded
the Tenneco Accounting Scholarship. His experience includes cost and
managerial accounting, financial accounting, and internal audit in
manufacturing and other environments, as well as external auditing
with a Big 4 public accounting firm. At INCELL, he is responsible
for all financial, tax and accounting matters, purchasing, human
resources, and administration. For the past six years, he has also
been co-owner, Chief Finance Officer and a Member of the Board of
TEKSA Innovations Corporation, a for-profit technology and
biotechnology-based business incubator.
Dr. Charles R. Bauer
Consulting Medical Director, provides input to research and
development, and applications related to clinical products and
services. He served in the Air Force for over 20 years and upon
retirement joined the University of Texas Health Science Center San
Antonio (UTHSCSA) As a general and trauma surgeon and Assistant Dean
for Ambulatory and Emergency Services. The American College of
Physician Executives has recognized him as a Certified Physician
Executive (CPE), is on numerous committees and Advisory Boards
dealing with Trauma, Disaster Preparedness, and CBERNE. He has
participated in numerous International Disaster Conferences,
Orlando, Florida and has been a moderator and program committee
member.
EDUCATION: Doctor of Medicine from Marquette
University School of Medicine (1958), Surgery Internship at St.
Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee WI and a four year surgery residency at
Shands Teaching Hospitals, Univ. of Florida Residency Surgery
Medical Center, Gainesville FL.
Ms. LuAnn Kirk
Office Manager, has worked at the University of Texas Health Science
Center with Dr. Moyer and managed all aspects of her office
operations for over 16 years. Her strong skill sets include:
preparation of grants and contracts, business components of
operations and proposals, from budgets to certifications (such as
human subjects and animal research) to coordination of intern
programs, office supplies and equipment, preparation of
presentations and marketing materials, general communications,
receptionists, and scheduling meetings with visitors.
