INCELL is registered and in compliance with USDA animal welfare, research and testing. Facilities, staff, equipment and procedures have been approved for use by the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This allows INCELL to perform grant-related work and provide contract services for NIH and other government grants and contracts.
Studies are custom-designed for the client. They can be performed as research studies or be done in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Typical analyses to test biologics, drugs or devices may include:
- Time course body weights
- Metabolic measurements
- Persistent of cells at injection site, organ localization or dissemination
- Assessment of microbial burden by DNA biochemical or culture analyses
- Immunoassays of host cells, sera or plasma
- Necropsy and/or histopathology to assess local responses and microscopic evidence of infection
- Imaging of slides with statistical and quantitative or qualitative outcomes of test treatment groups compared to appropriate controls
- Examples of other available analyses include: hematology, clinical chemistry, drug, cytometry, and ultrastructural imaging analyses
