INCELL Established Cell Lines

INCELL has established cell lines that are used for testing and research studies.  These cells are obtained through an entity signing a Cell Licensing and Material Transfer Agreement (CLMTA) and paying a licensing fee.

Normal-Derived Colon Mucosa (NCM) Cell Lines

The major areas of work with the NCM cell lines have included molecular mechanisms of cell and intestinal regulation, colon cancer and environmental testing. (LINK to Publications list)

NCM356celllineNCM356D Cell Line

  PDS 2018 NCM356D Cell Line INCELL.pdf (344.3 KiB, 3,030 hits)

The NCM356D cell line is an epithelial cell line derived from the normal colon mucosa wide margin resection of a 65-year-old black male with rectal adenocarcinoma (Stauffer et al., 1995). The cells express cytokeratins, villin and other colonic epithelial cell antigens, but are negative for antigens associated with other cell types. Some of the cells are positive for mucin synthesis and a subset of “tumor-associated” antigens (e.g. mutantp53, TAG72). They do not grow in soft agar and are non-tumorigenic. They have fastidious growth requirements and must be maintained in INCELL’s enriched M3:10TM medium for long-term in vitro culture with maintenance of an appropriate phenotype.

  PDS 2018 NCM460D Cell Line INCELL.pdf (599.5 KiB, 5,862 hits)

The NCM460D cell line is an epithelial cell line derived from the normal colon of a 68-year-old Hispanic male (*Moyer et al., 1996). The line was selected for in vitro growth. It was not infected or transfected with any exogenous genetic information. The cells express cytokeratins, villin, and other colonic epithelial cell antigens associated with other cell types. Some of the cells are positive for mucin synthesis. They do not grow in soft agar and are non-tumorigenic. They have fastidious growth requirements and must be maintained in INCELL’s enriched M3:10™ medium for long-term in vitro culture with maintenance of an appropriate phenotype.

IBHK-4 CelllineIBHK-4 Cell Line

  IBHK-4_Cell_Line_Product_Information_Sheet_INCELL_2016.pdf (501.3 KiB, 3,250 hits)

The IBHK-4 cell line is a selected clonal subline derived from the baby hamster kidney BHK21-C13 cell line. The IBHK-4 cell line has been adapted to robust in vitro suspension culture, mixed suspension-monolayer culture and standard monolayer culture growth conditions. It is used as a substrate for certain viruses (e.g., vaccinia) or transfected product. It has been verified as being of hamster origin by both isoenzyme and species-specific antibody analyses. Addition of serum or sets of specific growth and/or attachment factors to chemically defined ACE™ medium[MM1]  followed by seeding cells onto a monolayer substrate stimulates re-growth of monolayer cultures of the same general size and appearance as the monolayer parental cell line, but, with a larger number of rounded and aggregate cells such that a mixed suspension-monolayer culture is maintained.

Anti-HHV8HybridomaLineMonoclonal Antibody-Producing Lines

INCELL has developed proprietary anti-HHV-8 and other monoclonal antibody (mAb)-producing cell lines. Details can be provided on request.

INCELL can develop client-customized mAb producing cell lines. Send inquiry. LINK to inquiry page
